The PCTO (Transversal Skills and Orientation Path) dedicated to second cycle schools, entitled The European Union’s human-centred approach towards AI. The course aims to introduce students to Artificial Intelligence with a critical approach that emphasizes the central role of man in the design, development and use of AI-based systems. In particular, the following will be analysed:
  • The European approach to excellence and trust in AI;
  • Guidelines for Trustworthy AI;
  • Policy and investment recommendations for trustworthy AI;
  • Evaluation systems for AI;
  • Social implications in the use of AI;
  • International sources of examples and regulations of the application of AI;
The activities will take place over four days and include a combination of in-person sessions and independent work, at the end of which students will be asked to put into practice the knowledge acquired in a Hackathon . This initiative not only provides students with the opportunity to critically reflect on AI-related issues, but also a practical opportunity to apply their skills in a challenging and collaborative context!
