Call for Papers and Call for Abstracts for the 17th ESA2026 Conference

We are delighted to announce that the Call for Papers for the 17th ESA Conference, “Strengthening Democracies: Social Action, Solidarity, and Sustainable Futures”, to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 25 to 28 August 2026, is now open. We warmly encourage you to submit an abstract to one of the sessions organised by the Research Network – Science and Technology (RN24). Our sessions offer a vibrant forum for discussing cutting-edge research on science, technology, and society, and for engaging with a European and interdisciplinary community of scholars.

Notes for Authors

  • Please do not send us a full copy of your paper, abstracts sent by email cannot be accepted.
  • Authors are invited to submit their abstract either to the RN24 Session Proposal, a Joint Session (JS), or the Semi-Plenary (SP). Note that submitters of a SP abstract must hold a PhD (set date: 30 January 2026)
  • Each participant can submit and present one paper.
  • All submitting/presenting authors can be second author of one paper or more.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
  • Abstract must be submitted by 30 January 2026 via https://www.conftool.com/esa2026/.
  • Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and selected for presentation by the RN24 coordinators.
  • Note that the 17th ESA Conference will take place in an on-site format only, in Warsaw (Poland).
