We are pleased to invite our community to the Workshop W6 “UP2YOU”, which will take place as part of the 11th International Conference on Higher Education Advances (HEAd’25) on June 17, 2025 in Valencia (Spain). 

This workshop aims to gather groundbreaking research and innovative perspectives on integrating digital tools and sustainable practices to foster inclusive, future-ready learning environments and promote civic engagement.

We welcome theoretical and empirical contributions that explore, among others, the following topics, at the meta, macro, meso, or micro levels:

• University strategies to address the twin transition (digital and ecological).
• The sustainable impact of digital technologies in higher education (economic, social, and ecological dimensions).
• Curriculum innovation for skills development and civic engagement.
• Eco-friendly digital educational practices that promote sustainability, equitable access to technology, and individual well-being.
• Artificial intelligence in higher education for sustainability and innovation.
• Best practices and case studies on addressing the twin transition in higher education.

The contributions accepted will be published as workshop proceedings with DOI in the Academic Journal Quaderni di Comunità. Persone, Educazione e Welfare nella società 5.0. The best papers will be published in the European Journal of Education. Research, Development and Policy for a Special Issue focused on Twin Transitions and Enhancing Civic Engagement in Higher Education
