DiTES at the 17th Conference of the European Sociological Association in Warsaw
From 25 to 28 August 2026, Warsaw will host the 17th Conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA), one of the leading international events dedicated to sociological research. The 2026 conference will centre on the theme “Strengthening Democracies: Social Action, Solidarity, and Sustainable Futures”, placing the social transformations affecting contemporary democracies and the role of sociology in interpreting them at the heart of the debate.
The conference will bring together scholars from across Europe and other international contexts, providing a forum for discussion on topics such as participation and social action, inequalities, solidarity, sustainability, technological transformations and the future of democratic institutions.
Participation in the ESA 2026 Conference represents an important opportunity for international dialogue on the processes of change affecting societies, institutions and professions, strengthening the scientific dialogue on the relationships between technological innovation, social transformations and the construction of sustainable and inclusive futures. DiTES is participating alongside RN24 – Science and Technology in the management and coordination of numerous panels, including in collaboration with other research groups, demonstrating just how central the promotion of multidisciplinary research is today.
