International Hybrid Symposium “Participation in Crisis?” – 2 and 3 July 2026
On 2 and 3 July 2026, Link Campus University in Rome will host, in a hybrid format, the international symposium “Participation in Crisis? Appraising Acute Challenges and Exploring Prospects for Revitalising Inclusive Democratic Voice”, organised by the RC10 Participation, Organisational Democracy and Self-Management Research Committee of the International Sociological Association, the Hans Böckler Foundation and the DiTES Research Centre – Digital Technologies, Education and Society.
The two-day event will be dedicated to analysing the transformations currently affecting democratic participation, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by political, social, environmental and technological crises. The aim is to provide a forum for international discussion to reflect on forms of participation under pressure and on the prospects for revitalising inclusive democratic voice.
