The 2026 conference will centre on the theme<\/span><b> \u201cStrengthening Democracies: Social Action, Solidarity, and Sustainable Futures\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, placing the social transformations affecting contemporary democracies and the role of sociology in interpreting them at the heart of the debate.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conference will bring together scholars from across Europe and other international contexts, providing a forum for discussion on topics such as <\/span><b>participation and social action, inequalities, solidarity, sustainability, technological transformations and the future of democratic institutions.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in the ESA 2026 Conference represents an important opportunity for international dialogue on the processes of change affecting societies, institutions and professions, strengthening the scientific dialogue on the relationships between technological <\/span><b>innovation, social transformations and the construction of sustainable and inclusive futures. DiTES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is participating alongside<\/span><b> RN24 \u2013 Science and Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the management and coordination of
