Hybrid International Symposium \u201cParticipation in Crisis?\u201d \u2013 2 and 3 July 2026<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On 2 and 3 July 2026, Link Campus University in Rome hosted, in a hybrid format, the international symposium \u201cParticipation in Crisis? Appraising Acute Challenges and Exploring Prospects for Revitalising Inclusive Democratic Voice\u201d, organised in a hybrid format by Link Campus University in Rome. The event was promoted by the RC10 Participation, Organisational Democracy and Self-Management Research Committee of the International Sociological Association, the Hans B\u00f6ckler Foundation and the DiTES Research Centre \u2013 Digital Technologies, Education and Society.<\/span><\/p>

The two days were devoted to analysing the transformations currently affecting democratic participation, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by political, social, environmental and technological crises. The event provided a forum for international discussion to reflect on forms of participation and the prospects for revitalising an inclusive democratic voice.<\/span><\/p>

We would like to thank all the speakers and participants who, through their contributions, questions and discussions, made these two days an important opportunity for international dialogue and reflection.<\/span><\/p>
