The PCTO \u2018The European Union's human-centred approach to A.I.\u2019 is about to start \u2013 Academic year 2025\u20132026\n\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

January 2026 will see the launch of the Pathway for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO) <\/span>\u201cThe European Union’s human-centred approach to A.I.\u201d<\/i><\/b>, a 30-hour training initiative for students, focusing on a critical and anthropocentric approach to artificial intelligence.<\/span><\/p>

The programme aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the <\/span>European Union’s guidelines on AI<\/b>, with a particular focus on ethical, legal and social issues. Topics covered include the European approach to excellence and trust in AI, guidelines for trustworthy AI, investment policies and recommendations, AI evaluation systems and the social implications of its use.<\/span><\/p>

The course, coordinated by <\/span>Prof. Stefania Capogna<\/b>, will involve lecturers and researchers from Link Campus University, including <\/span>Maria Chiara De Angelis, Eugenio De Gregorio, Sergio Pappagallo and Flavia Zorzi Giustiniani.<\/b><\/p>

The programme will consist of <\/span>20 hours of classroom activities and 10 hours of independent work in subgroups<\/b>, dedicated to the development of a design challenge. The training days will include lectures, discussions on practical applications, reflections on the <\/span>EU Artificial Intelligence Act<\/b>, and a final <\/span>hackathon<\/b>, which will culminate in the presentation of the projects created by the students and the selection of the winners by a jury composed of the course lecturers.<\/span><\/p>

This is a concrete opportunity to introduce students to the contemporary challenges of artificial intelligence, promoting critical skills, ethical awareness and guidance towards future study and career paths.<\/span><\/p>
