Florence, 28\u201331 January 2026 – Abstract deadline: 12 November 2025<\/b><\/p>

The Italian Society of Economic Sociology (SISEC) has opened the <\/span>call for papers<\/b> for its 10th Conference, dedicated to <\/span>\u201cConflict and cooperation in contemporary economic, social and political transformations\u201d<\/i><\/b>, scheduled to take place in <\/span>Florence from 28 to 31 January 2026.<\/b><\/p>

Within the programme, Federica De Luca and Stefania Capogna are coordinating session 8.10 <\/span>Universities and contemporary disorder. Techno-social conflicts, territorial cooperation and new conventions between economy and society.<\/i><\/b><\/p>

The session invites contributions that explore, among others, the following thematic areas:<\/span><\/p>

  • Third mission and civic engagement:<\/b> conflicts and cooperation that structure practices, actors and results.<\/span><\/li>
  • New institutional conventions:<\/b> the role of universities in the territories and in the framework of supranational policies for higher education.<\/span><\/li>
  • Triple transition (digital, ecological, demographic):<\/b> challenges and opportunities in different local contexts.<\/span><\/li>
  • Economic-social hybridisation:<\/b> effects on university governance and stakeholder relations.<\/span><\/li>
  • Innovation governance:<\/b> strategies, tools and collaborative networks that guide transformation processes.<\/span><\/li>
  • Research and innovation evaluation:<\/b> participatory approaches and metrics capable of capturing the complexity of social and territorial impacts.<\/span><\/li>
  • Organisational transformations: <\/b>universities as complex structures in evolution.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    How to participate<\/b><\/p>

    • Abstract submission<\/b>: between 2,500 and 5,000 characters (including spaces).<\/span><\/li>
    • Deadline<\/b>: 12 November 2025.<\/span><\/li>
