Persone, Educazione e Welfare nella Societ\u00e0 5.0 (Community Notebooks. People, Education and Welfare in Society 5.0), edited by Marco Filoni, Filippo Maria Giordano and Giorgio Grimaldi, stems from the urgent need to examine one of the most profound and rapid transformations of our time: that brought about by the development of artificial intelligence. The issue offers a comprehensive critical and interdisciplinary reflection, involving scholars from the fields of philosophy, sociology, history, political science, law, economics, education, psychology, medicine, anthropology and ethics. The aim is to explore the challenges and risks of AI, while keeping the focus on the individual, human rights, community well-being and ecosystem balance.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Particular attention is paid to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the need for ethical and global regulation of AI;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">countering technocratic tendencies and excessive concentration of power;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the impact on work, education, privacy, democracy and the environment;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the need to develop technological models inspired by values of justice, inclusion and peace.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The volume is part of the lively International debate on human-centric AI, with references to European regulatory developments (AI Act), calls for responsible use of technology, and proposals for alternative models such as Ubuntu ethics or sustainable artificial intelligence.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This issue therefore represents a valuable contribution to guiding technological development in a humane, fair and sustainable direction.
